Hey,
I would like to join Meytal's comments, the chapter made me too, think about my goals in life and try figure out what is really the incentive behind them.
Furthermore, I liked how Hsieh tried to incorporate scientific facts with his examples. What I didn't really like was the last 2 pages of the chapter, when he began with the whole "we are the world we are the future" notion, not because I don't agree with that, as more because I didn’t like the way he convey it.
About our classes, I think it could be really productive if will add some sort of a competitive element to our projects, or other activities that we have, I believe that competition encourage progress.

I agree with you abaut the competition part , do have an Idea it could be done?
We are planning to start an INVESTMENT CLUB that will allow each students' team to select two stocks of a company that stands out in both, financial and social performance. Selected stocks will enter the class stock portfolio after the team backs up its selection with due diligence research. Competition will take place as follows: First, the portfolio will try to beat the most relevant INDEX. Second, the team selecting the stocks that gain most during the competition period will win a prize!
Suggestions?
